Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who was raised as a child in Orange County. In the year 2015, she graduated from the University of California San Diego and got her first break in acting. Pernas started her acting career with minor roles on NCIS and Leverage. The Young and the Restless provided Pernas the role Marisa. After her exit from the soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016 she was recast as Catalina as a character who was on the show frequently. She speaks four languages. She's since been seen in The Brave with Hannah Rivera as well as The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between the years of 2019 and 2020 Pernas was portrayed by Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. It was revealed that Chrishell Stause (the spouse of This Is Us actor) left him in November 2019 and Pernas began dating Hartley. News was reported on May 20, 2021, the couple Pernas and Hartley have recently got married in a secret ceremony.
