Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative, folk rock, but it also has influences of jazz and hip hop. Ani DiFranco is the first artist to establish her own record company in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in the city of Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who had the pleasure of meeting Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
