Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. She was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December, 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 with her catchy electronic pop tracks "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing captivating, yet emotional songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of modern mainstream music as well as arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogging to printed media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels.
